The clergy and staff of St. George’s are eager to help make your wedding a lovely and meaningful event.

The sacrament of Christian marriage is an outward and visible sign in which a man and a woman celebrate the love that has bound them together by vowing their lifelong commitment to one another in the presence of their family and friends before God.  Marriage services are performed under the canons and guidelines established by the Episcopal Church USA, the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, and in compliance with the laws of New York State.  At least one of the parties must be a baptized Christian.  At least thirty days notice must be given to the clergy prior to the wedding date (in practice, allow for at least ninety days to accommodate church scheduling and preparation).  The ceremony must be attested to by at least two witnesses and the parish register signed.
